Did anyone else have a parent growing up that was obsessed with trains? I did and whenever there was a train museum or display anywhere while on vacation we definitely would have had to stop just so my dad could take it all in. Now don’t get me wrong it was very educational and sometimes fun especially when younger, but still not one my favorite things to do. Any who, the take away from this is that I grew up seeing photos of all these train conductors at all these museums wearing there overalls and railroad stripe ensembles and this railroad striped denim jacket is giving me all sorts of train conductor vibes.

With this look I chose to style it with nods to the classic conductor style but elevated to a new everyday more modern approach with a hint of grunge. Starting with a classic white tee, which can never go wrong I layered obvious elements such as distressed denim and railroad stripes for that nod to classic uniforms which then also includes the chain which conductors would have worn to keep all the necessary keys for locks, doors and machinery involved with the trains. Then paired with all my everyday favorites like my converse, apple watch, key necklace and rings. I think this look overall feels fresh, clean, and easily interpreted from a classic idea into something anyone could do with pieces from their own wardrobe.
